Signing papers never felt so good!

So after three long weeks we were finally able to sign papers for Yohannes. YAY!! He is so adorable the kids love his eyes and his mouth. His mouth is continually open in his pictures. The kids say its like his mouth is too heavy. Now on to waiting some 49 days for court to open... not that we are counting or anything. Our boys will be glued to me for awhile especially considering I have been paper pregnant with them for 22 months by the time they are home. WOW that's a long time.

On July 16 we got pictures of Yohannes. It has been a long three weeks waiting to be able to sign papers
for Yohannes. We have been a bit worried about him but we are constantly told he's in good hands. All we
can do is hope that's the case. We hear he's a tiny little boy, but we could see that was the case on
his monthly update, there is 2 lbs difference between Menja and Yohannes and 4inches. We can't wait
for court to open back up. Only 50 days to wait in adoption language equals FOREVER.

One of the best day of my LIFE!!

On June 18,2010 I received a phone call this was no ordinary phone call. This was the phone call I waited for, for 9months. The longest wait EVER!!! i was started to go crazy. Nine months ago we thought we wanted a baby girl young as possible and little boy under five years, its funny how a phone call will change your thinking and life. We got a referral for a 2month old little boy who by the way is ADORABLE. We had waited so long that hearing that it was a boy made both of us so happy we forgot about wanting the youngest to be a girl. we ask our agency about a little girl they tell us none available at this moment. We plan to be happy with whatever comes our way whether it be a girl, boy, or just the one perfect little boy we already received. Well less than a week later we receive another call. ITS A BOY!! 1yr old I can't beleive it. A BOY SERIOUSLY!! But with a little time to think about it we are happy it happened this way 2 boys should be interesting........

Its been a long time.....

I have been doing my best to hang in here and take things one day at a time. We have been waiting since November with no referral. This wait is the hardest thing in the world to do just not knowing who our babies are, what they look like its killing us. There has been some orphanage closures and some changes in the way things operate in Ethiopia in the process. We have made changes in our request and we are hoping this will speed things along. I guess we will have to see....until next time.

Can we get a #4 in the house??

This week we moved from number 5 for girl to number 4 we are getting so close. We are number 1 for boy under 3. I think about these children I don't even know each and every day. We have the bed and everything ready and waiting for these two little love bugs. Maybe next post will be with referral news!

Talk to susan yesterday and we are officially number 5 for baby girl. we are so excited we can't wait to see her face, to know who she is,and how old she is. We long for the day we are in Ethiopia picking up our children. Our little boys referral will soon follow and we are just as excited about knowing who he is. So right now 5 for baby girl and for boy 7 or so since boys come faster.

The wait!!

We have officially been waiting on our little lovebugs for one month now. It has been nerve wrecking. I thought the paper work was the painful part but each and every day I am waiting to see who our children are makes us more anxious. So I guess we will have to wait it out day by day until the right day comes along. Until then heres to torn nerves.
